A pickup struck a utility pole and flipped over early Wednesday, bringing down some power lines in Lansdale, Montgomery County.

LANSDALE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A pickup struck a utility pole and flipped over early Wednesday, bringing down some power lines in Lansdale, Montgomery County.

The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of East Main Street (Route 63) and North Wales Road.

Images from the Action Cam shown on Action News at 5:00 a.m. showed the truck lying upside down in the intersection with power lines draped over the undercarriage.

According to police, the driver managed to get out of the vehicle on his own and was being evaluated by medics.

There was no immediate word on that person's condition or what may have caused him to lose control.

Utility crews were called to the scene to deal with the downed power lines.

The westbound lanes of East Main Street were closed at North Wales Road as police investigated.
