Three gunmen fired at least 20 shots into a home, killing a woman and wounding her mother inside their garage, police said Saturday.

The shooting occurred just after 3 p.m. Friday in the Hill District neighborhood, killing 34-year-old Tina Crawford and wounding 63-year-old Patsy Crawford, authorities said.

Neighbors said the Crawfords were well-liked and didn't cause any trouble.

"Tina was a good girl. I am really shocked," Tracy Scott, 46, told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "I don't understand why anybody would do anything to good people like this."

Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots and found Tina Crawford's body lying just inside the basement-garage entrance behind a car. Patsy Crawford was on the other side of the vehicle. Bullet holes were left in the car and side of the house.

The door to the house was locked, indicating that the women were either returning home or leaving when they were shot, said Sonya Toler, spokeswoman for Pittsburgh Public Safety. A second daughter apparently was not home at the time of the shooting.

One suspect fled on foot and two others by car, police said, but no arrests have been made. A motive for the shooting is also unclear.

Patsy Crawford was shot in the hip and is in stable condition at UPMC Presbyterian hospital, police said.
