Police have arrested a gas station worker for allegedly groping a female customer on Saturday in Radnor, Pa.

RADNOR, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police have arrested a gas station worker for allegedly groping a female customer on Saturday in Radnor, Pa.

Investigators also say it may have happened before.

The man arrested is identified as Bijay "BJ" Kumar Lama, a worker at the Shell station at 807 E. Lancaster Avenue.

The victim said Lama was helping her make coffee just before 12 p.m. when hugged her, then grabbed her breasts and buttocks.

The 40-year-old woman managed to shove him away, then flagged down a nearby police officer.

Police say Lama initially denied doing anything wrong, but investigators say the woman's claim was backed up by surveillance video of the incident.

Radnor police say they received a similar complaint against Lama last year, but the woman did not want to pursue it.

A nearby business owner told them of two other possible victims.

"These are the types of crimes that escalate, and that type of behavior can go into much deeper or sinister type crimes," said Lt. Christopher Flanagan. "The small stuff can add up to the big stuff."

Lama is charged with harassment, simple assault, indecent assault and disorderly conduct.

Police say the store's owner is cooperating with the investigation.

Lama's arrest came as a surprise to customers.

"I've never had a problem with the guy. I've gone in bought gas, food in there and he's never given me a problem," said Denise Kelly.

If you feel you've been victimized, you are asked to contact the Radnor Police Department.
