TACONY -- Police are investigating two suspicious car fires in the Tacony section of Philadelphia early Friday morning.

The car fires happened within a block of each other.

The first call came around 2:00 a.m. Friday at Robbins Street and Torresdale Avenue.

The blaze was quickly put out. The windows were blown out and the car sustained a lot of damage.

A short time later, a second call came in about a car on fire on the 6300 block of Ditman Street.

An SUV parked in a driveway in the back alley of a home was found charred with the windows blown out. The fire gutted the vehicle and caused minor damage to the house.

The home was occupied, but the residents all got out safely.

An arson dog was on the scene sniffing for accelerants.

Police don't know what the motive was or if anyone was targeted.

The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate.
