Police are investigating a double shooting where a teen and a man were injured in West Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting in West Philadelphia that left a man and a teenage boy hospitalized.

Shots rang out just before 11:00 p.m. Tuesday in the 4900 block of Fairmount Avenue.

Officers arrived to find a 16-year-old boy and a 24-year-old man struck several times.

Investigators believe they were hit by buckshot fired from a shotgun.

Both were rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in stable condition.

Police say whoever opened fire was with a group of young men. There was no word on a motive.

So far there have been no arrests.
