Police: Gunman in deadly shooting dressed as water department worker

Police are investigating a homicide in North Philadelphia.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for a man who they say was wearing a water department vest during a deadly shooting in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2300 block of West Huntingdon Street.

Police say a 36-year-old man sitting inside a green Pontiac Grand Prix was shot multiple times.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the suspect was seen wearing a water department vest.

It's not clear if he is a water department worker or was posing as one.

The suspect was last seen heading southbound on 24th Street from Huntingdon Street.

No weapon was recovered, police say, and, so far, no arrests have been made.
