Police: Man stole computers from Walmart in Port Richmond

Philadelphia police are searching for a man who robbed a Walmart store in Port Richmond twice within a week.

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a man who robbed a Walmart store in Port Richmond twice within a week.

The first incident happened on February 19 at the store located at 2200 Wheatsheaf Lane.

He was caught on surveillance walking into the store around 6:30 p.m. and heading back to the electronics department.

The robber grabbed a desktop computer right off the shelf and fled through a rear exit fire door.

A getaway driver was outside waiting for him in a white four door sedan.

The thief struck again on February 25 at 5:13 p.m., taking another desktop computer from the shelf.

This time his getaway driver was waiting in a dark colored Nissan Armada SUV.

The stolen computers are valued at $1398.

Police describe the suspect as a black male about 30 years old with a medium complexion and beard. He was wearing a black coat, blue jeans, and a dark baseball style cap.
