Suspect sexually assaulted Delaware teen, police say

SMYRNA, Del. (WPVI) -- A 24-year-old man is under arrest in Delaware, accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

Police say Marcus Owens assaulted the girl at a home in Smyrna in August.

The victim only knew the suspect by a nickname, so it took investigators 3 months to track him down.

Owens was charged this week with fourth degree rape and weapons charges.

He is behind bars after failing to post $17,000 bail.
