Two teenagers were struck by a hit-and-run driver while riding a dirt bike in Wilmington.

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck two teen boys who were riding a dirt bike in Wilmington.

It happened just after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14th at the intersection of A and Townsend streets.

Police say the two boys, 16-year-old Elijah Goldsborough and 13-year-old Emmanuel Goldsborough, were riding a dirt bike through the intersection when they collided with the SUV.

Both victims were taken to A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children.

Elijah was released from the hospital on Wednesday while Emmanuel remains hospitalized and underwent another surgery Wednesday.

Authorities say the driver of the SUV fled the scene.

The striking vehicle is described as a black or blue SUV similar to a Tahoe Yukon and is said to have right front side damage.
