Security guards shoots and kills bar patron in Olney

OLNEY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say a security guard shot and killed a bar patron in the Olney section of Philadelphia.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday outside the Old Madrid Corner Bar near the intersection of 5th Street and Fisher Avenue.

Police say the guard removed a 29-year-old man following an altercation.

The guard told police he shot the customer once in the head after the man threatened him with a bottle on the sidewalk.

The customer was pronounced dead at the scene.

The guard is now being questioned by investigators.
