Serial robbery suspect sought in Kensington
KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are on the hunt for a suspect wanted in connection with multiple armed robberies in the city's Kensington section.
The first robbery happened on December 10 at the Vanessa Mini Market on the 2200 block of North Howard Street.
The robber entered the market with a shirt covering his face and pointed a handgun at the clerk.
He forced his way behind the counter and got away with an unknown amount of cash from the register before fleeing west on Colona Street.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, 30-40 years-of-age, 5'7" to 5'9" tall and 200 lbs. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black skull cap, beige pants, white t-shirt over face and armed with a handgun.

The second incident happened on December 11 shortly after noon at N&N Grocery located on the 2400 block of North Hancock Street.
The man once again entered the store and pointed a handgun at the employees in the cashier's booth.
When one employee refused, the suspect attempted to open the booth door but it was locked.
He then fled empty-handed and was last seen heading west on York Street.
No injuries were reported.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, 30 years-old and 5'5" tall with a light complexion and heavy build. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and armed with a handgun.
The third robbery happened later that evening at 5:35 p.m.
This time the suspect entered Deliany Grocery Store on the unit block of West Dauphin Street.
He approached the counter, opened the door and pointed a handgun at an employee.
The thief spoke Spanish as he ordered the clerk to place an unknown amount of cash into a plastic bag.
He then fled the scene and was last spotted heading east on Dauphin Street.
Police describe the suspect was a Hispanic male, 26-30 years-old and 5'5"-5'6" tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black sneakers, and armed wit a handgun.
