Shooting victim identified in Wilmington, Del.

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police have identified a man shot and killed in Wilmington.

43-year-old Derrick Caudle of Wilmington was shot at 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of Vandever Avenue.

Officers arrived on the scene to find Caudle lying on the sidewalk. He had been shot once in the abdomen.

Caudle was rushed to Christiana Hospital, where he died several hours later.

There was no immediate word what led to the shooting, and there have been no arrests.

A police investigation is underway.
