Store owner shot in Kensington

Police say the owner of a grocery store was shot.

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting inside a Kensington grocery store.

The shooting occurred around 7:00 p.m. inside Steven Grocery Store in the 2900 block of D Street.

Police say two suspects entered the store.

One of the suspects put a gun to the head of a customer.

That's when the owner, 44-year-old Rafael Martinez, grabbed his own gun prompting the suspects to shoot him in the shoulder.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Police say the whole ordeal was caught on surveillance camera.

Police are looking for the two suspects.
