Suspect sought in attempted robbery in Fishtown

FISHTOWN (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are on the hunt for an armed suspect who attempted to rob a pizza shop in the city's Fishtown section.

The incident happened on October 29 inside Key Pizza located on the 2300 block of East York Street.

Surveillance video shows the male suspect entering the restaurant shortly before 10 p.m.

He approaches the front counter, points a handgun at the clerk and demands cash.

When the clerk refused, he then fled the scene empty handed.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, wearing a red scarf around his face, black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
