Suspects sought in pharmacy burglary in Kensington

Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who stole thousands of dollars worth of drugs and other items from a pharmacy in the city's Kensington section.

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects who stole thousands of dollars worth of items from a pharmacy in the city's Kensington section.

The burglary happened at 4 a.m. on August 20 at the Amigo Pharmacy located on the 3000 block of Kensington Avenue.

The pair were caught on surveillance forcing open a rear door to break into the store.

Once inside, they stole $11,000 worth of drugs as well as some sports memorabilia.

Police say one suspect was wearing a Phillies cap, a dark face mask and gloves. A second suspect was wearing a black face mask, baseball cap, wind breaker jacket and camouflage army pants.

The pair made their getaway in a late model Jeep Cherokee with a sunroof.
