MANTUA, N.J. (WPVI) -- Hundreds of people gathered in Voorhees, New Jersey Saturday night to remember a teenager who passed away in her sleep.

A candlelight vigil was held at Giangiulio Field - a place where 14-year-old Kara Lemanowicz spent a lot of time.

She was a member of the Eastern Regional High School Girls Soccer and Lacrosse teams.

Kara and her soccer friends attended a sleep over Friday night at a home on the 200 block of Barnsboro Road in Mantua.

Then around 9 a.m. Saturday she was found in the tent she was sleeping in unresponsive, and the homeowners called 911.

Arriving paramedics pronounced Kara dead at the scene.

A tweet from Kara's soccer team reads: "EGS lost one of our own this morning in Freshman Kara Lemanowicz. She went to sleep with a smile and among friends. RIP. We play for you."

An autopsy is pending, but investigators say there's no sign of foul play, drugs or alcohol.

Kara would have started her freshman year at Eastern Regional High School on Tuesday
