A car struck a teenager on a bicycle and then fled the scene.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A teenage boy was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday along the southbound Roosevelt Boulevard near Bustleton Avenue.

Police say the 16-year-old suffered injuries to his arm and leg.

He was rushed by medics to Aria Health Torresdale for care.

Police are investigating.

At this time, there is no description on the striking vehicle that fled the scene.
