Teenage girl stabbed in the back in Burlington, N.J.

BURLINGTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- A 17-year-old girl is hospitalized after suffering a stab wound.

Police say someone slashed the teen in the back.

She then showed up at a home in the 1300 block of Tanner Avenue in Burlington sometime before 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Medics took her to Cooper University Hospital in serious but stable condition.

Investigators are working to determine who stabbed the girl and why.
