Thief steals package from front steps of home in South Philadelphia

Police are looking for a suspect who stole a UPS delivery package from the front steps of a South Philadelphia home.

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are asking for the public's help to identify a thief who stole a UPS delivery package from the front steps of a South Philadelphia home.

On October 20, a UPS delivery truck dropped a package off to a home on the 2400 block of South Bankroft Street and left the box on the front steps.

Surveillance video from a nearby residence shows the male suspect approaching the home shortly before 2 p.m.

The thief grabs the package from the front step and flees the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 40 years-old, and bald. He appears to have a beard with a mustache and was wearing a blue Adidas track suit with white stripes on the sleeves, a white shirt underneath and white sneakers.
