MANTUA TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A tow truck driver is hospitalized after being struck while working on a disabled vehicle in Mantua Township.

It happened at 8:45 a.m. Friday on Route 55 South near Exit 50.

Police say the driver was loading a disabled vehicle onto his tow truck when he was struck by a passing vehicle.

He was taken to an area hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The driver of the striking vehicle did stop at the scene and was also taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
