VIDEO: Victim: Hotel gave alleged rapist room key
A woman files suit against a hotel after an alleged rape. She claims the hotel gave her rapist a key.

A woman claims she was raped at a South Carolina hotel after staff members gave a man a key to her room.

She is now suing the hotel.

28-year-old Kayla Snipe spoke out at a new conference, accompanied by women's rights attorney Gloria Allred.

Snipe says she was at an Embassy Suites hotel for her company Christmas party in 2013 and did not give permission for anyone to have access to her room.

"Not only was I betrayed by a coworker but I was also betrayed by the hotel, My hotel room key was given to my attacker by hotel staff. All it took was him telling them he was my boyfriend," said Snipe.

Her alleged attacker was charged with criminal sexual conduct.

Snipe and Allred say they hope the lawsuit will lead to changes in security at hotels nationwide.
