Victim shot and robbed in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 45-year-old man is hospitalized after being shot and robbed in North Philadelphia.

The incident occurred before 12:30 a.m. Friday at 13th and Westmoreland streets.

Police say the victim was shot in the hip, and robbed of his wallet and cell phone.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

So far, no arrests.

Police are checking out the area surveillance cameras.
