VIDEO: Child rescued from hot car in NJ
A North Jersey mom faces charges for leaving her child alone in a hot minivan.

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Sheriff's officers rescued a child from a hot vehicle in northern New Jersey, and video captures not only the rescue - but a confrontation with the child's mother.

The incident happened in the parking lot of a Costco store in Hackensack on Thursday.

A male officer breaks the window while a female officer climbs into the Toyota Sienna and scoops up the little girl.

The child was crying and covered in sweat.

Less than a minute later the mother, identified as Chaeyoung Lim-Kim, walked up with another child in her shopping cart.

"Is this your kid?" a woman is heard to say. "Sorry," Lim-Kim replies. "No sorry!" the other woman responds. "She could have died!"

The mother was charged with child endangerment and released on her own recognizance.

The toddler was treated at Hackensack Medical Hospital and released to the custody of her father.
