Water main break in Fishtown

FISHTOWN (WPVI) -- A water main break in Philadelphia's Fishtown section caused dangerous road conditions early Sunday morning.

It occurred around 2:00 a.m. on the 1200 block of Montgomery Avenue near Girard Avenue.

The break was discovered by police - as it happened right in front of the 26th district headquarters.

Water department crews arrived within the hour and shut off the main.

They are continuing to work to repair the main.
