West Chester man charged with rape

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- West Chester Police have arrested a man for rape, after a tip from an Action News viewer.

Police tell Action News that the assault happened December 28th around 3:30 a.m. at a residence in the 700 block of S. Walnut Street.

Last month, police released a photo the suspect, who detectives believed broke into the home and assaulted the man living there.

19-year-old Christopher Caban of Vineland, New Jersey has now been charged with rape and burglary.

He remains in custody in New Jersey awaiting extradition.
