Two people are injured after police say a woman crashed her car at a Montgomery County gas station.

MERION STATION, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two people are injured after police say a woman crashed her car at a Montgomery County gas station.

The incident happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Liberty Gas Station on the 300 block of Montgomery Avenue in Merion Station.

Police the female driver of a car crashed into a pole that borders a gas pump.

The car began to smoke.

Two people are injured after a car caught fire at a gas station in Merion Station, Pa.

A gas station employee gave responding officers a crowbar.

The officers used it to break open the car window in order to rescue a woman who was inside the burning vehicle.

She was taken to Lankanau Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The officer was taken to Bryn Mawr Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
