Eaglets born in DC officially named

WASHINGTON (WPVI) -- The eaglets whose birth captivated America as their hatching was live-streamed online now they have names, thanks to an online contest.

Freedom and Liberty were officially introduced Tuesday during a press conference in Washington D.C.

More than 36,000 people took to Facebook to help pick the names.

The eaglets hatched at the U.S. National Arboretum back in March.

They are the first bald eagles born there in almost 70 years.
