Pilot injured after small, self-propelled plane crashes into remote field in Franconia Twp., Pa.

FRANCONIA TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A pilot is recovering after a small plane crash in Franconia Township, Montgomery County.

Emergency crews say the small, self-propelled aircraft crashed into a remote field in the 700 block of Cowpath Road on Wednesday.

The pilot was able to climb out of the plane and up a nearby ravine before being rushed to the hospital for further evaluation.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
