POTTSTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Montgomery County man who is selling a beautiful Victorian home said he's actually having a hard time finding a buyer... because the house is haunted.

But he says the spooky spirits are friendly - and add to the charm of the home!

The house belongs to Guy Clauson and his wife, Kathie. He said they have been hearing strange noises inside the home on North Hanover Street.

They thought the home, built in the 1870s, was just in need of repairs. Then came the day Kathie thought someone was at the front door.

"She went over to grab the doorknob and the doorknob actually turned against her. Then she opened it and she looked outside and there was no one there. She was really horrified," Guy said.

He says their ghostly encounters only grew more intense from there, especially for Kathie.

"She thought I came walking downstairs and she saw a figure walk by and the dogs followed it out the back door. Then a couple minutes later I came walking down from the second floor and she was just terrified," he said.

The house is still on the market and the Clausons have moved out - but it's not because they were afraid.

"I actually love the house. It's a little bit of a commute to work. We used to own restaurant in Phoenixville. We since have sold that and now we own a restaurant two blocks from the other home in Collegeville," Guy said.

The five bedroom, two bathroom home is listed for $176,500.

If you're interested, but still concerned about the ghosts, Guy said there is no reason to fear.

"It seemed to be a friendly presence," he said.
