BENSALEM TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- All lanes are back open after a serious crash involving a tractor-trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bucks County.

It happened at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in the eastbound lanes in Bensalem Township.

Video from Chopper 6 HD showed a maroon SUV that appeared to have rear-ended a tractor-trailer.

The SUV suffered significant damage, with a wheel and parts of the front end lying on the side of the highway.

One person was flown to Temple University Hospital for treatment. There is no word on that person's condition.

The right lane and shoulder of the turnpike were shut down, with only the left lane getting by.

Traffic was backed up for several miles approaching the scene, as police investigated and crews worked to clear the wrecked SUV.

All eastbound lanes were back open by 8:15 a.m. There has been no word what led to the crash.
