Hundreds of New Jersey Bottom Dollar employees laid off

Bottom Dollar Food stores, which is being sold to the Aldi Supermarket chain, will be laying off 460 employees at its 13 supermarkets in New Jersey.

The layoffs are expected to happen at the end of the year, which is when all 66 Bottom Dollar stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio will be closed.

The workers will be offered severance packages and will be allowed to apply for other open positions.
