Anonymous donor pays off layaway items for families

Several families in New England have a reason to celebrate this holiday season.

An anonymous donor is making the holidays bright by paying off layaway items for strangers in Massachusetts.

One customer said she was near tears when she heard that her $175 purchase at Toys R' Us was paid off.

A store employee says the anonymous person paid off a total of $20,000 worth of purchases.

They have named the unknown donor the "Layaway Angel."
