VIDEO: Art of Aging - Learning about iPads
In today's Art of Aging, Lisa Thomas-Laury found a community that is back in class for apps on their iPads.

At Spring House Estates in Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania, residents armed with tablets are going to school once a week to learn the ins and outs of social media, apps and surfing.

Marj Eby, a student says, "I communicate with my family all the time on it. There are a lot of things I do either the hard way or I don't do at, so, I thought the class would help."

The classes are for seniors, run by seniors who are already computer savvy.

For the older adults, the weekly sessions open up a whole new world.

Instructor, Edward Diamond says, "I'm learning how to text with my daughter who lives in California and she'll send me pictures of different things going on or a picture of her house being remodeled, so we're in touch all the time."

Another student, Peg Carroll says, "It's like learning a second language. I use my device for connecting, checking my emails and setting up my calendar."

Many seniors are also using social media to find ways to volunteer, network, and get their resumes out.

If you go to the Art of Aging section, you'll find ways you can get connected.
