Earth Day Ladybugs

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Kids at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Center City marked Earth Day Monday by releasing 10 thousand ladybugs into Washington Square Park.

120 students watched on as the red and black bugs got reacquainted with the plants, flowers and trees.

Leading up to Earth Day, which was Saturday April 22nd, the kids learned how ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could harm the environment.
