It pays to save energy for LaSalle

OLNEY (WPVI) -- LaSalle University was rewarded Friday for its move toward energy efficiency.

PECO gave the school a 300 thousand dollar rebate.

LaSalle has completed 13 projects over the last few years aimed at making the campus energy efficient and sustainable.

Those projects include upgrading the lighting in libraries and residence halls and improving air conditioning and heating systems.

The school says the projects have the same effect as removing 3 hundred cars from the road, or planting 35 hundred trees each year.
