Junior Olympics qualifyer for hundreds

EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- Friday night kicked off a weekend of swimming competitions at the Salvation Army's Kroc Community Center in Philadelphia's East Falls section.

More than six hundred boys and girls are competing in the annual President's Day Showdown.

The swim meet is an opportunity for the young athletes from Southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey to make qualifying times for the Junior Olympics.
