VIDEO: Model criticized for enjoying child-free weekends
A child-free weekend may sound good to some parents, but one couple is getting slammed for their parenting decision to have a child-free weekend - every weekend.

A child-free weekend may sound good to some parents, but one couple is getting slammed for their parenting decision to have a child-free weekend - every weekend.

Rachael Finch, a 27-year-old model from Australia, says every weekend her and her husband, ballroom dancer Michael Miziner, drop their 2-year-old daughter, Violet, off at grandma's house.

In an interview with a British newspaper, Finch says having the weekend to themselves is healthy for their relationship, and that Sunday, when they pick her up, they have their energy back.

Social media slammed the parents over this confession - calling them selfish and childish, among other insults.

Finch fired back on Instagram, saying: "A Mother should never be made to feel they are not good enough for their child when they are doing everything they can to keep them safe, happy and loved." Adding, "Only the parents of a child truly know what is best."

So far, her social media post has been liked close to 4,000 times.
