Mugshot: Woman arrested while wearing Hello Kitty costume

Maine police say they arrested a woman from Westbrook, Maine who was dressed up as Hello Kitty and charged with drunk driving.

According to WMTW ABC 8, 37-year-old Carrie Gipson was pulled over early Sunday morning on Mosher Road in Gorham, Maine. Police say Gipson was driving in the wrong lane, and when she was pulled over, the woman was wearing a Hello Kitty costume. Gipson was arrested on an Operating Under the Influence, or OUI charge, and was taken to Cumberland County Jail.

Police not only provided a mugshot of Gipson but also the head of her Hello Kitty costume in her vehicle at the time she was pulled over. Hello Kitty is a popular Japanese fictional character who has appeared on merchandise and various forms of media.
