Officials in Philadelphia are working on ways to capitalize on the city's world heritage status

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Officials in Philadelphia are working on ways to capitalize on the city's world heritage status.

Philadelphia was named a World Heritage City back in November.

Mayor Jim Kenney says the status will bring more visitors, residents, and businesses to the city, and the idea is to make sure they visit important cultural and historical sites.

Officials say they're also working on an online heritage mapping initiative, that will make information more readily available.
