Philadelphia is the 9th most expensive city in the nation to live in.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia is the ninth most expensive city in the nation to live in, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The new report found residents in the City of Brotherly Love spend about $21,000 a year on housing.

That includes money spent on things like utilities and furnishings.

The most expensive? The nation's capital.

People living in Washington DC spend $28,400 on housing.

That's followed by San Francisco and New York City.
