South African culture and art at the Zoo

PHILADELPHIA ZOO (WPVI) -- The Mann is teaming up with the Philadelphia zoo to educate young children about South African culture and art.

Monday visitors were entertained by several different singers and storytellers set up around the zoo.

Throughout today and tomorrow students from the KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy will perform along with members from the Children's Storytelling Theater.

It's part of the Mann's Firebird Spirit Rising Festival, which celebrates the Mann's 40th anniversary season.
