State trooper awarded "medal of honor"
He works to protect people in Pennsylvania, but also tries to prevent bullying in Philadelphia schools

WYNNEFIELD HEIGHTS (WPVI) -- He works everyday to protect people in Pennsylvania, but he also spends time trying to prevent bullying in Philadelphia schools.

Pennsylvania State Trooper, Sergeant John Canterino accepted the Medal of Honor Tuesday from a non-profit called "Teach Anti Bullying."

He was chosen for promoting non-violent behavior when he visits city schools.

Canterino also spends his free time volunteering as a youth sports coach.
