Townhomes at Walt's Way

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- The name of a once popular eatery will live on in Wilmington, Delaware.

Wednesday officials broke ground on a new housing project called "Townhomes at Walt's Way", named after the old Walt's Flavor Crisp Chicken.

The restaurant had stood at the intersection of Vandever and Pine Streets for more than 40 years.

It closed when the owner passed away in 2011.

This new project is part of an effort to promote home ownership opportunities in the area.
