West Chester University's 15th president

WEST CHESTER, Pa, (WPVI) -- He has spent more than 3 decades serving and working at the same university and Thursday he was named its new leader.

Christopher Fiorentino is the new president of West Chester University.

The board of governors with the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education made the appointment.

Fiorentino joined the staff at West Chester in 1983 as an assistant professor and made his way up the ladder.

He is the university's 15th president.
