Winner named in Philadelphia More Beautiful Clean Block contest

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The 1700 block of North 19th Street has just been named the winner of the Philadelphia More Beautiful Clean Block Contest.

it was announced Friday night during a city awards ceremony.

Twenty-five competing blocks were judged on aesthetics and property improvements.

The winners received a thousand dollars for future block projects.
