Team USA can still advance to the second round! U.S. fans in Brazil celebrate after the tie game against Portugal.

Two weeks into the tournament the US is still standing strong holding with the possibility of a permanent spot in the Group of Death and are scheduled to face World Cup finalist favorite Germany in a fight for place.

A win against the German soccer machines will outright guarantee their spot for the second stage. Moving forward on a tie or loss would depend on goal differentials between the Ghana and Portugal game on the same day.
