Eagles sign LB Mychal Kendricks to 4-year contract extension

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have signed linebacker Mychal Kendricks to a four-year contract extension through the 2019 season.

Kendricks, 24, was selected as a second-round draft pick in 2012.

He has appeared in 42 games with 40 starts over his three seasons in Philadelphia, recording 333 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, nine sacks, three interceptions, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.

Despite missing four games in 2014, he finished second on the team with 108 tackles, including a team-high 16 vs. Seattle on December 7, 2014.
