The NBA landscape went into shock on Friday when news surfaced that the Philadelphia 76ers were in talks with the Boston Celtics about acquiring the No. 1 overall pick.

According to ESPN's Zach Lowe and Marc Stein, the Sixers are working on a trade that would send a package of picks, including their No. 3 selection, to the Celtics in exchange for the top overall draft choice.

Washington point guard Markelle Fultzis projected by most to be the No. 1 pick. He's scheduled to work out for Philadelphia on Saturday. So 76ers big man Joel Embiid, with teammate Dario Saric by his side, decided to have a little fun and post a selfie in front of a locker that included Fultz's nameplate.

And of course, there was only one message to leave: Trust the Process.

Fultz saw Embiid's photo and was happy to see that the players are interested in having him in Philadelphia.

The trade has yet to be confirmed, but this is just an example of how excited the team would be to land such a talented point guard. Pairing Fultz with a group that includes Ben Simmons(who is expected to make his NBA debut next season), Embiid and Saric would give the Sixers a strong young core for the foreseeable future.

According to Embiid, they could build something legendary.

Fultz averaged 23.2 points, 5.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game during his freshman season at Washington.
