One person is dead following a crash in Carbon County, Pa.

FRANKLIN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- One person is dead following a crash in Carbon County, Pa.

It happened before 9 a.m. Wednesday on Route 209 in Franklin Township.

According to WFMZ-TV a Carbon County Community Transit bus collided with a utility van.

One of two passengers on bus was killed.

There was no immediate word on the number or extent of any other injuries.

Route 209 was closed at the scene in both directions as police investigated and crews worked to clear the wreckage.
