Two people are dead after police say a car slammed into a pickup truck in Bordentown.

BORDENTOWN, N.J. -- Two people are dead after police say a car slammed into a pickup truck in Bordentown.

Police say 23-year-old Jocelyn Redding of Hamilton Township was driving north on Route 545 Wednesday evening when her car went into the southbound lane and collided with the pickup.

Redding, along with her passenger, 26-year-old Nicholas Cooper of McGuire Air Force Base, died.

The pickup driver was treated for minor injuries and released.

The accident remains under investigation.
